METHI DUDHI DHEBRA ( FENUGREEK BOTTLE GOURD PARATHA)

METHI DUDHI DHEBRA
( FENUGREEK BOTTLEGOURD PARATHA)

Here I have combined two popular Gujarati flat breads. Methi Dhebra which are made of pearl millet flour and fenugreek leaves as key ingredients and Dudhi Thepla which are made of Dudhi ( bottle gourd ) and wheat flour as key Ingredients. These yummy dhebra are paired well with curd. Even we can consume it as a breakfast or as a meal.

Preparation time : 10 minutes
Cooking time : 20 minutes
Serves : 4 persons

Ingredients:

1 cup wheat flour
1 cup pearl millet flour
1/4 cup gram flour
2 cup grated bottle gourd
1 cup finely chopped fenugreek leaves
1 cup finely chopped coriander
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh green garlic
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp red chilli powder
1tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp sugar ( optional )
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking

Method:
1. Mix all flours, dry spices and oil and crumble it.

2. Now add grated bottle gourd, coriander, fenugreek leaves and garlic. Mix with light hand and knead dough. If needed, add water to knead dough. Do not knead dough in advance as greens in dough leaves water and dough becomes soft.

3. With the help of dry flour roll dhebra.

4. On pre heated skillet, cook dhebra from both sides by adding oil on medium flame.

5. Serve hot with curd, pickle, tea or coffee.

Note:
1. Can add green chilli paste instead of red chilli powder.
