ICE APPLE COOLER

Ice apple is a seasonal fruit of sugar palm tree & widely available in sizzling summer. This fleshy fruit is loaded with translucent, juicy fluid & has excellent cooling properties. Ice apple is very similar to Litchi in texture & tastes like a slightly sweet tender coconut . It provides the perfect blend of minerals & sugars for the body during summer season. Ice apple is called Tadgola in Hindi & Gujarati & Nungu in Tamil.
Here, I have made a cooler from Ice apple in combination with raw mango. Mint leaves & Basil seeds make it more interesting.
Ingredients:
4-5 Ice apples
1 small raw mango
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves.
1 tbsp soaked basil seeds
Salt & sugar to taste.
Method:
1. Peel & chop both ice apple & raw mango.

2. Now make puree of ice apple, raw mango & mint leaves.

3. Now add some crushed ice, salt, sugar & water to this puree & blend it again.
4. Now fill 1/4 glass with crushed ice, pour this cooler, add soaked basil seeds & serve chilled.

Note:
1. Can replace basil seeds with chia seeds.
